i was looking at the calender and we typically meet the sat prior to columbus day which is oct 6. does this sound ok for everyone?

we will meet at 10am at the new longleaf botanical garden visitor center located adjacent to the anniston museum of natural history and the berman museum of world history in lagarde park.

my garden will be open after lunch. additional local palm tour details TBA.

I think that is fine. Race weekend is a few weeks later so there should be no trouble with hotel availability.

HOTEL availability?!?!?!?! Thought we were all going to camp out on Hayes' back 40!!! Man, that stinks!!! Just kidding of course!

Maybe he can spend them summer carving out campsites in his jungle?!

i spoke with connie mack dobbs. he is willing to open his garden after lunch. i also asked my parents about opening their garden since its on the way to connie macks and they agreed.

connie mack has a wonderful palm collection along with many companion tropicals.

i landscaped my parents home, so it has some palms and many interesting plants (including a large araucaria angustifolia). their garden is full baking sun, so i planted things there that i didnt have a place for in my shadier garden.

the median will be a great drive by place as well with the big nannorhops and large washingtonia x filibusta.
